![]() ![]() ![]() TL DR: Because the strength of Legend of Heroes lies in it's world building and massively connected characters/plot/etc., it's a waste to play the games out of order. The above is just one example: there's been at least 2~ of these every chapter so far. You want to know she's okay, you want to know she'll get past her trauma, but you, as the player, would have no idea about this ♥♥♥♥ unless you played the Third. There's a specific one that is heart wrenching af. Now imagine how many references and emotional moments you missed because you didn't know something?įor example, in Zero, a certain characters from Sky show up. It's clearly gripped you, yet you started out of order. The PURPOSE and extreme strength in Legend of Heroes is the story. Just compare these two aspects, even with the newer games, to something like Tales of Arise. The gameplay in Legend of Heroes is more or less the same ♥♥♥♥ with minor upgrades. My extremely strong opinion is that it is actually asinine, that is incredibly stupid/foolish, to play these games out of order. Now that you know how pathetically long it took me to beat the first three. The first three Sky games took me 3 years to finish because my backlog is around a year long, if I were to game 40 hours every week like a full time job, and I have a fairly active gaming circle (multiplayer games, with infinite replayability.) I also obviously work full time or the backlog wouldn't exist lol ![]()
